MOBILE, Ala. (April 17, 2009) – Sydney-based worshippers Hillsong United return to the U.S. this spring and summer for a cross-country tour that includes visits to 20 cities between and built around the May 26 release of their brand new CD and companion digital songbook Across The Earth: Tear Down The Walls.

Across The Earth: Tear Down The Walls is United’s first new live CD since 2006. The CD features 12 tracks, including 11 new songs of Hillsong United’s signature power pop/rock brand of worship. A sample can be found at http://unitedacrosstheearth.com/ where a free song and song chart can be downloaded.

Hillsong, whose “Mighty To Save” is nominated for Song of the Year and Worship Song of the Year at the 40th Annual Dove Awards (slated for April 23 in Nashville), launched the first of 20 U.S. appearances on April 15 in Seattle, Wash. The band’s stops include a sold-out worship night at the Nokia Theater (home to American Idol Finale show) in Los Angeles on April 20, a guest appearance at the first-ever West Coast Catalyst Conference on April 23 and participation in the Willow Creek Conference in Chicago in June. Hillsong also hosts its own two-day Encounter conferences in Los Angeles and Miami in August.
